University of Waterloo Geomatics Program
In the Maclean’s annual rankings of Canadian universities, the University of Waterloo ranked 1st for most innovative and 2nd for best overall in 2017.
Waterloo offers a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Geomatics program as either a regular or co-op option. From geodesy to spatial databases, students learn all about geomatics from how to analyze information and make meaningful decisions through the fundamentals of geography combined with computer science.

The University of Waterloo provides a Geospatial Centre where they provide cartographic and GIS services to all programs at the University including access to GIS and remote sensing data (including over 20,000 maps & over 55,000 aerial photographs).
