In addition to the research presentations we will have a keynote address during the dinner hour of the first evening and a panel of non-GIS academics (e.g., department heads, deans, and VPs research) on the second evening. This latter event will allow our community to share with non-GIS and non-geography academics and administrators our research as well as an opportunity to discuss how to best develop GIS in an increasingly competitive and constrained academic environment.
