Event: 100th CIG Annual Conference
Date: May 23-25, 2007
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Details: The Canadian Institute of Geomatics (CIG) is the national, societal home for geomatics professionals, technologists and technicians and is devoted to advancing the development of Geomatics in Canada. Their conference will concentrate on geomatics technologies (satellite positioning, remote sensing, GIS, geodetic and hydrographic surveying). Lessons learned in the last several years have indicated clearly that the prediction and efficient monitoring of disasters two critical factors in the decision-making process and that space-based technologies have great potential to meet such needs, in a fast, near-real-time fashion.
