The CanadianGIS.com web site is an free online GIS resource tool that I started in March of 2006 when I saw that there was a lack of places on the web to find Canadian GIS resources. I myself am a highly networked certified Canadian Geomatics Specialist who has been working with GIS since 1997 at Acadia University and I continue to work with GIS today.

Over time the site has evolved slightly with a few functions or sections being added to it as time went on but it has always been mainly used to promote the Canadian GIS industry and to share information with other Canadians that have an interest in GIS.

It helps provide others with resources about Canadian GIS data, Canadian companies that provide GIS services, Canadian maps, GIS events, employment and education info and other GIS resources. If you have something about Canadian GIS that you would like to share or add to my site then I would love to hear from you.
