The world’s fastest storage tank analysis and reporting software … uniTank processes high-resolution laser (LiDAR) scans of storage tanks
Calgary, AB – Novlum announces the release of uniTank, a software solution dedicated to storage tanks analysis, making 3D laser scanning a viable technology in the field today.
uniTank is a comprehensive, highly automated software solution for near real-time 3D storage tank analysis and reporting with unrivaled quality assessing American Petroleum Institute (API) standards compliance of storage tanks (API 650, 653, MPMS 2.2a). It enables tank inspectors, engineers, and owners to receive same day results.
The software imports laser scan data from all the major point cloud formats. The data registration tool is robust and versatile and does not rely on targets, which significantly reduces in-field preparation and risk of project failure. uniTank‘s in-depth structural tank analysis includes precise data classification and feature extraction, manway and nozzle detection for tank calibration and all features to perform analysis of shell roundness, verticality, peaking and bending, shell and edge settlement, roof, floor and floating roof settlement, floating roof rim space, girder, rafter and column deflection as well as tank calibration and berm survey.
“uniTank’s sophisticated automation enables you to go from scan data to report in less than an hour,” says Josiah Lau, Head of 3D Storage Tank Analysis and Co-founder at Novlum Inc. “This makes on-site analysis a possibility, providing rapid access to critical decision making information.”
It’s reporting module automatically creates complete and customizable industry-standard reports which are editable.
Novlum is an innovative geospatial solution software company focusing on geo-data processing, real-time visualization and efficient analysis of all types of 3D data. Novlum’s internally owned Intellectual Property provides the flexibility to serve demands in all spatial-based industries worldwide.
