Event: Free Webinar – Get Rolling in 2012 with HTML5 & Esri Technology
Date: March 8, 2012: 10AM PT
Location: Webinar – Virtualy anywhere
Registration:  see the registration page

Description:  Latitude Geographics are planning on providing another free webinar due to the great turnout and response that they had for the last one. Latitude Geographics first developed Geocortex software in 1999, and since, Geocortex has evolved through several generations of Esri mapping and GIS technology. In that time, Geocortex has proven to be a success story, with organizations all over the world recognizing the value of an off-the-shelf (OTS) approach in helping them achieve GIS and web based mapping requirements.

“Computing is becoming increasingly ubiquitous; accessible via an expanding array of devices, delivery platforms, and form factors. HTML5 is a standard that will help make this reality more manageable for content authors. Although HTML5 remains too early stage for many types of production applications, opportunities exist to start leveraging HTML5 in ways that capitalize on its strengths, while ensuring maximum longevity and applicability of development investment.”

This 30-45 minute webinar should apeal to GIS administrators, GIS managers and analysts currently using ArcGIS Server platform. It will have an emphasis towards mobile users and work flow driven web browser based applications, while focusing on specific technology strategies and a more recommended general approach for getting started with HTML5 and ESRI technology.
