Type of Geospatial Resource
The Nunavut Map Viewer is the web mapping application that displays the mineral tenure spatial data that is maintained by Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) as well as several datasets prepared and maintained by other data custodians that are useful to INAC clients.
Mineral tenure is updated as applications are received in the Mining Recorder’s Office, therefore mineral claims, prospecting permits and mineral leases features are not updated in real time and are not current.
