GIS training from Colleges and Universities

The ever evolving Canadian Geomatics industry has lead to increased demands for specialized GIS training, and Canada has remained on top of the leading GIS education providers for many years. Here are some of the best Colleges and Universities that offer GIS related programs. I have compiled a list of the various GIS education programs offered in Canada as well as created a ArcGIS.com web map to spatially display them as well.

The list obviously does not contain all the programs that exist (but I am working on it) so if you know of one that is missing from the list or have any corrections to an existing one that I already have listed then please let me know about them.

See our Individual detailed postings about Canadian GIS training from Colleges and Universities for more details :)

Would you please translate your blog into Italian because I’m not very comfortable reading it in English? I’m getting tired of using Google Translate all the time, there is a little WordPress plugin called like global translator which will translate all your articles automatically- that would make reading posts on your great blog even more enjoyable. Cheers dude, Technology Education!

We will look into your suggestion, but note that our site would have a French version before Italian, due to French being an official language here in Canada.

    Dear Members

I would like to know which is the best educational institute which offers a 2 yrs Masters degree course in Geoinformatics in Canada so that i can understand this subject more extensively and comprehensively. I think Geoinformatics includes GIS. Moreover, is there any scholarship program funded fully by any organization for the above mentioned course study. Kindly help. I am very much interested in learning GIS. Currently i am working in a Telecom Co. as a GIS executive, but the scope of knowledge here is limited and no way to grow educationally and career wise.

    Regards
